In connection with the current situation in the Middle East, about 3000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have returned to their homeland. This information was announced by Seitbek Jumakadyrov, the director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at a recent briefing.
According to him, efforts to return the remaining citizens are ongoing. In the coming days, the arrival of several more Kyrgyz citizens is expected.
"Of those who returned, 426 people took advantage of the free flights organized by the government, while the others arrived on commercial flights," he noted.
It is worth adding that it was previously reported that about 22 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in Middle Eastern countries.
