The official opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Lithuania took place in Osh, where the representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region, Amankan Kenjebayev, met with the General Consul of Lithuania, Sharune Kubilyte.
According to information provided by the representative office, the participants of the meeting discussed the current state and future of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Lithuania, as well as explored areas for the development of interregional interactions.
Amankan Kenjebayev emphasized that the opening of the consulate in Osh is a significant step towards deepening friendly relations between the two countries. He also congratulated M.A. Orumbaev on his appointment as the honorary consul of Lithuania.
The Lithuanian side received information about investment opportunities in the Osh region, with a particular focus on the development of the agricultural sector and the production of environmentally friendly agricultural products.
The parties expressed interest in further activating cooperation in several key areas:
- trade and economic relations and attracting investments;
- processing of agricultural products;
- development of the tourism industry;
- strengthening cultural, humanitarian, and educational ties.
