At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdieff reported that in 2025, 1,547 criminal cases related to internet fraud were registered, of which 830 were successfully solved.
According to him, the total damage from these crimes amounted to over 826 million soms, however, about 73 million soms were managed to be returned to the victims.
"Citizens often realize that they have become victims of fraud only after 1-2 days, while the criminals manage to withdraw the money in just 1-2 hours. In cooperation with the National Bank, we are implementing a system for the rapid freezing of funds on bank cards, which will allow us to promptly block suspicious transactions," he noted.
Additionally, the deputy minister also reported cases of fraud involving significant amounts of cryptocurrency, due to which the Ministry of Internal Affairs is sending requests to cryptocurrency exchanges to suspend the actions of the perpetrators.
