Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Erlis Akunbekov held meetings with farming enterprises and representatives of the livestock sector. The ministry's press service reports on his visits to various regions where key aspects of livestock development and veterinary safety were discussed.
During these meetings, livestock breeders expressed their concerns about the rising incidence of livestock diseases in recent years, which requires more active preventive measures and timely diagnostics.
According to the ministry, Akunbekov emphasized that preventing epizootic risks is an important direction in agricultural policy. He instructed the relevant services to strengthen veterinary control, monitor the epizootic situation, and actively work on disease prevention in farms.
The minister also noted the necessity for veterinary services to respond promptly to any reports of animal diseases. He stated that funds have been allocated from the republican budget for the purchase of biopreparations and laboratory diagnostic kits.
The ministry urges animal owners to take responsibility in caring for livestock, report any symptoms of diseases to veterinary specialists, and strictly follow recommendations. The joint efforts of all participants will help ensure epizootic safety and stable development of livestock farming.
