According to law enforcement agencies, the goal of these activities is to prevent domestic violence, reduce the level of offenses during the "Arsenal" operation, and protect citizens from internet fraudsters.
During the informational discussions, local residents learned that there has been an increase in cases of fraud recently. Criminals use various messengers, social networks, and phone calls, posing as relatives or acquaintances, and ask for financial assistance. There have also been attempts to extract personal information and banking details through suspicious links.
In this regard, the police strongly recommend that citizens follow these precautionary measures:
- avoid clicking on suspicious links;
- do not trust messages or SMS from unfamiliar numbers;
- if you receive a message or call from someone you know, be sure to call back to verify the information;
- never share your bank card numbers, codes, or personal information;
- ignore suspicious calls and messages and verify their authenticity.
“If you or your loved ones have become victims of internet fraudsters, contact the police immediately,” the message states.
Law enforcement agencies urge citizens to be vigilant and pay special attention to protecting their personal data.
