According to a Turmush correspondent, over the weekend, a large artistic bas-relief depicting Vladimir Ilyich Lenin — the leader of the world proletariat and one of the founders of the Soviet Union — caught the attention of buyers at a flea market in the Chuy region.
“This sculpture was quite noticeable due to its size — about 60 by 70 centimeters. It is made of aluminum alloy. Similar bas-reliefs were actively produced in the Soviet Union during the 1960s to 1980s and were used to decorate cultural center buildings, entrances of large factories, and city squares,” said historian and local historian Maxim Podgorny.
On the same day, the bas-relief was purchased by one of the flea market visitors for the sum of two thousand soms.
