With the onset of the warm season, the patrol service of the police in Bishkek has begun large-scale raids aimed at checking drivers of motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds. According to the department, the main goal of these activities is to ensure road safety, reduce the number of traffic accidents, and increase discipline among users of two-wheeled vehicles.
During the raids, the patrol service employees conduct explanatory conversations with drivers, informing them about the requirements of the traffic rules and reminding them of the necessity to strictly adhere to them.
In addition, special attention is paid to the technical condition of the vehicles. In case of non-compliance with the engine displacement (cubic capacity) established standards or the absence of necessary documents, protocols on violations are drawn up against the drivers.
The patrol service emphasizes that operating motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds without the appropriate documents, as well as non-compliance with technical requirements, poses a real threat to both drivers and other road users.
