The asphalt laying works have begun in the Issyk-Kul region, marking the first step in the preparation for road construction planned for 2026. This information was announced by the Ministry of Transport.
According to the report, the first batch of bitumen necessary for road construction was delivered to the country under an agreement with the Russian Federation. Currently, 1160 tons of bitumen have been received at warehouses in Zhel-Aryk and Kyiamat-Kyrkool, and another 860 tons have been sent to the southern region, to Shamal-Sai.
During his trip, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Tairiel Zhanibekov checked the progress of work on the section of the road Balykchy — Barskoon — Karakol, where he gave a number of instructions to the contracting organizations.
The ministry emphasized that the preparatory works are proceeding according to schedule, which will allow for a timely transition to the active phase of road construction.
