According to information from the Batken Electric Power Station, the work was carried out as part of the Ministry of Energy's initiative to modernize and update the energy infrastructure. The goal of the major renovation, conducted by the branch of OJSC "NESC" — the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise, is to ensure stable electricity supply for the population during the upcoming autumn-winter period of 2026–2027.
During the renovation, the 35/10 kV substations "Kara-Tokoy-2," 35/10 kV "Ak-Turpak," and 35/6 kV "Shirech" were updated. All transformers underwent a complete technical inspection, and outdated equipment was replaced. To enhance the reliability of electricity supply, the relay protection and automation systems were checked, and necessary repair work was carried out.
Additionally, sanitary and cleaning measures were implemented in the areas of the substations, and the facilities were brought in line with current safety requirements. All technical standards and requirements for the safe operation of equipment were adhered to.
The major renovation creates conditions for the uninterrupted operation of electrical networks, helps reduce the number of emergency outages, and ensures consumers receive quality electrical energy.
