In the village of Dostuk, which has a population of 2,559 and is located on the outskirts of the capital, the construction of a new school has begun. The initiative comes from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, and the funding is provided by the republican budget.
According to information from the Ministry of Construction, the project includes the creation of a modern three-story educational institution consisting of 5 blocks, which will be equipped with classrooms, a computer lab, a library, an assembly hall, a cafeteria, and a gym.
It is important to note that the construction site was previously a water body, which complicated the work. To enhance the stability of the building, 10,884 cubic meters of gravel were laid to a depth of three meters, and layer-by-layer compaction was carried out in nine stages, ensuring the reliability of the structure.
Upon completion of the project, the new school will be able to provide education for more than a thousand students. Currently, children from the village of Dostuk are studying at school No. 54.
