At the House of Culture named after N. Baitemirov in Tokmok, located in the Chuy region, a meeting is taking place with local residents from the Kemin, Chuy, Issyk-Ata, and Alamudun districts, as well as from the cities of Kant and Tokmok.

This information was provided by a Turmush correspondent.

During the meeting, Tokmok local council deputy Cholpon Sydykova raised several pressing issues:

“We allocated a plot of land for a new building for the city internal affairs service. With the arrival of spring, I am interested in how ready the project is, when the construction is planned to start and finish, and whether there will be a gym and a cafeteria in the building?”

“Moreover, why is the number of police officers decreasing? There were 132, and now there are only 120. What is the reason for this? Why has the drug enforcement department been closed? We are lacking district inspectors. With an official population of 75,000 people and only 21 district inspectors, this is extremely insufficient,” she added.

“It should be noted that the PPS staff report directly to the regional authorities, which sometimes leads to confusion, as they do not report to the local administration. Our internal affairs department has only 14 employees, while the number of traffic accidents is increasing. The tourist season is approaching, and there are not enough staff on the bypass road,” she concluded.

The deputy also mentioned that a residential building for police officers was constructed in 2017, but due to errors in land accounting, the documents have not yet been processed,” she concluded.
