In Kyrgyzstan, the creation of 11 new Rest Points is planned by 2030. The Director of the Tourism Department, Erdenet Kasymov, announced this during the broadcast of the program "Elden Sobol" on the Kabar agency.

Currently, there are 18 Rest Points operating in the country, intended for the rest of tourists, as well as five tourist information centers, all of which are located in the Issyk-Kul region. In the coming months, it is planned to open three more tourist information centers in other regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Kasymov emphasized that some of the existing Rest Points are not functioning properly. To address this issue, the Tourism Department, together with the Tourism Development Support Fund, is monitoring facilities that have not yet been put into operation.

“We are trying to find out which Rest Points have not been commissioned and are working with contractors to eliminate deficiencies in order to prepare the facilities for opening. The Fund is actively working in this direction. By 2030, it is planned to build 11 new Rest Points, and we are also focusing on improving the operation of the already existing ones,” he added.
