Pansionat Altyn-kum

The name of the sanatorium Altyn-Kum translates from Kyrgyz to Russian as "Golden Sand".

This unusual name was given to the sanatorium due to the velvety fine natural sand that covers the entire beach area of the sanatorium. It is one of the best resorts on Issyk-Kul, known for its relatively low prices. It is located in the village of Chon-Sary-Oy, 30 km from Cholpon-Ata.

Altyn-Kum has a large and well-maintained green area with numerous birches, Tien Shan firs, thuja, and nut trees. The sanatorium also features many well-kept shrubs, flower beds, and neatly trimmed lawns with green grass.

The tourist complex offers vacationers accommodation in low-rise buildings or separate wooden cottages.
