At the meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) held on December 7, issues concerning the accountability of the chairpersons of the precinct election commissions in district No. 13 were discussed.

As a result of the discussion, it was recommended that two territorial election commissions — the Noo-Ken and Mailuu-Suu commissions — replace 35 chairpersons and conduct elections for new leaders within five days.

This decision was a consequence of violations that were recorded during the elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh. On December 3, the CEC declared the elections in the district invalid. An investigation into the complaints revealed that observers representing candidates had illegally installed cameras at 35 polling stations, which violated the secrecy of the vote and the free expression of voters' will.

The CEC also pointed out the inaction of the chairpersons of the precinct election commissions, which served as the basis for further actions. The commission emphasized the importance of prompt responses to any violations of electoral legislation and the necessity of cooperation with law enforcement agencies in case of threats or obstacles to the work of the election commissions.
