Wisdom of the Elders

Unspoken Words
One man constantly conflicted with his wife and could not find common ground with her. He decided to go to the elder and share his concerns. After carefully listening to the young man, the elder told him to remember all the bad words his wife directed at him. The young man did as the elder instructed and came back to recount word for word how his wife scolded him. Then the elder said to him:
- This time, if your wife starts scolding you again, think about what good words she never says to you that you would like to hear. Never regret warm words. Cherish each other. Only then will I give you good advice.”
Who Betrayed?
Otrar is a historical region. Once, in ancient times, there was a settlement of Turkic tribes there. One day, Genghis Khan's troops attacked this settlement but could not overcome the resistance. A brutal war began. A major obstacle to capturing the settlement was the river flowing nearby. Suddenly, the enemy burst into the settlement, and everyone realized that someone had betrayed them. It turned out that the traitor was the best warrior of the Turkic khanate, who secretly opened the gates. They began to investigate the reason for his betrayal and understood that this man grew up in an urban environment and never had a permanent residence. Therefore, the concept of homeland was foreign to him. A person who betrays their homeland today may betray the enemy tomorrow.
