Father in a Bag

Father in a Bag

Father in a Bag

A father lived with his son and daughter-in-law. His wife had died, and he was dependent on them. But the daughter-in-law had a very bad temper, and she did not like living in the same house with her father-in-law at all. The son always listened to his wife; she constantly said that the father had outlived his time, urging him to put the father in a bag and leave him among the mountains. But the father only wanted his son to live a happy life.
One day, the son's wife finally convinced her husband - he put his father in a bag, took him to the mountains, and said:
- Forgive me, father, but I must either stay here with you or return home alone.
- Go to your wife, and take this bag with you.
- Why?
When you become an old man, and your son wants to take you to the mountains, this bag will come in handy.

Length of Life

Two elders were having a conversation.
- It turns out that life is a marathon, a marathon that lasts a lifetime. Sometimes it passes like a moment, like a sprint.
- Yes, old age is that age when desires do not always match real possibilities; strength, energy, even... teeth leave.
- Indeed, life is a race of four distances.
From birth to seven years - a person is like a hatched chick, who has no feathers yet, only down.
From seven to fourteen years - a chick, he can already run fast, but flying is beyond his strength.
The segment of life from fifteen to fifty years - the ascent and flight of a person, the heart beats strongly, he relates to everything quite differently. From fifty to seventy years - a time when strength begins to leave a person, .... a sprint, but only with one tongue.

Fear

An elder and a young man were walking through the forest. As soon as some sound was heard nearby, the young man fell silent, looked around, and spoke only in whispers.
A storm began, thunder struck, and lightning flashed; the poor young man got scared and fell silent again. The elder, noticing the fear of his companion, said:
- Son, you need to break free from the cage.
They continued walking. Ahead appeared an unfamiliar traveler; the young man, frightened again, began to lag behind. The elder repeated:
- You must break free from the cage.
- I don’t understand what you are talking about, Ata? - the young man was confused.
- A person who is afraid of everything is in a cage, a prisoner of his fear; he has no freedom. You must overcome yourself and be free.
