Scarlet Poppies
In ancient times, there lived a girl named Aisha. A beauty that made all her friends envious. Many were disturbed by her beauty.
One day, she was captured by bandits, but the brave girl fought back. Suddenly seizing a knife from one of the bandits, she swung it and struck one of them. The enraged bandits killed the girl on the spot, chopping her into pieces. After some time, where the drops of beautiful Aisha's blood fell, scarlet poppies grew. The girl's beauty was embodied in the field poppies.
Dream
One day, a wealthy khan had a terrible dream and, waking up early in the morning, ordered his servants to urgently invite one of his close advisors to help interpret the meaning of the dream. The khan recounted that he dreamed that he had only one tooth left in his mouth. This greatly troubled him, and he wanted to know whether such a terrible dream was a good or bad omen.
Listening carefully to his lord, the advisor honestly said that it was a bad sign of the khan's imminent death. Hearing such an interpretation of the dream, the enraged khan ordered his servants to behead him.
After that, he called the second advisor and repeated word for word the dream he had seen. The wise advisor said that such a dream is a good omen.
Even when all the khan's peers (31 people) pass away, he himself will live for a very long time in good health.
The khan was overjoyed by the advisor's words. Delighted, he ordered his servants to arrange a celebration and generously reward the wise advisor with gifts.
As it turned out, dreams can be interpreted in different ways; the main thing is to know where, when, and to whom it is needed.
Student and Teacher
One wise man decided to test his students. He took a chick in his hands and, closing it with his palms, asked one of the students:
- Tell me, my son, is what I have in my hands alive or dead? He thought that if the student said alive, he would crush the chick. And if dead, the wise man would leave the chick alive.
To which the clever student replied:
- Everything is in your hands, teacher.
Muz-Ata (Lelina Mountain)
In the Kyzyl-Suu Autonomous Region of China, there is a place called Muz-Aga (Ice Mountain). The name of this place is associated with an ancient legend.
Long ago, one of the residents of this land had two daughters. Both, to the parents' dismay, were unattractive. The sisters themselves dreamed of becoming beauties, suffering and searching for all kinds of beauty remedies. When they grew up, someone suggested to them that somewhere in distant lands there was a magic mirror, in which anyone who looked would become beautiful.
The parents were reluctant to let their daughters go on a long journey, but eventually, agreeing with them, they blessed them on their way.
However, as it turned out, the sisters were gone for many years. Decades passed, and they were still nowhere to be found. The aging and sick father, in despair and pain for his daughters, turned into an ice mountain.
Only many years later did the sisters finally manage to return to their homeland, but instead of their beloved father, they saw an ice mountain, which the locals named Muz-Ata.
