The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, conducted a tour of the M. Adyshev Institute of Geology, which is part of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the visit, as reported by the government press service, key areas of the institute's scientific work, current projects, and the contribution of scientists to the study of the country's mineral potential and the development of geological research were presented.

Kasymaliev inspected the institute's library and museum, where he saw unique exhibits, including findings of dinosaur remains discovered in the territory of Kyrgyzstan, as well as workspaces and laboratories.

The scientific activity of the institute covers fundamental and applied research in the fields of regional geology, mineral resources, physical geography, geoecology, and engineering geology.

The head of the Cabinet emphasized the importance of geological research for the sustainable socio-economic progress of the country, noting the need to support both fundamental and applied science.

Additionally, he highlighted the necessity of enhancing interaction between ministries and scientific institutions to implement new technologies and improve the effectiveness of addressing current issues.

Questions related to the training of scientific personnel, material and technical support, and the prospects for the development of the institute were also discussed.

As a result of the visit, instructions were given to the relevant state bodies.
