Participants included Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, as well as Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovations Gulzat Isamatova and leaders of major pedagogical universities.
The meeting participants discussed issues related to the training of teaching staff, improving their qualifications, implementing new state and subject standards, as well as enhancing methodological support for education.
Also on the agenda were topics such as attracting international mentors and trainers, state support for students studying in pedagogical specialties, and training teachers proficient in English in the STEM field.
Edil Baisalov emphasized that teachers play a central role in the education system. He noted that the training of educators and their further professional development should remain among the main priorities of state policy. He also highlighted the need for coordinated work among all stakeholders.
For her part, Minister Kendirbaeva stressed the importance of integrating teacher training into the international educational space, emphasizing that pedagogical universities should be at the forefront of the reforms being implemented.
