At the Republican Specialized Boarding School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children in Bishkek, a meeting took place involving parents, educators, and representatives of the authorities.

The event was attended by the Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, the First Deputy Minister of Education Mukhtarbek Baymurzaev, the Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Bakai Turdugulov, and the Vice Mayor of Bishkek Victoria Mozgacheva.

Parents and teachers of the school expressed their strong disagreement with the plans to relocate the educational institution to the village of Tash-Döbö (Vorontsovka). They believe that this will create serious difficulties in logistics and socialization for children with visual impairments.

"Being within the city limits, the school is critically important, as most students and their families live in Bishkek and need regular access to medical, rehabilitation, and social services. Moving the school outside the city will significantly complicate daily commutes and the safety of children, create additional financial and time burdens on families, and may violate the rights of children with disabilities to equal access to education," their statement notes.
