According to the Ministry of Defense, the aim of these events is to foster military-patriotic education among the youth and to promote military education and service.
Ninth-grade graduates have the opportunity to enroll in the Kyrgyz National Military Lyceum, while graduates of schools and colleges can choose the Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic or foreign military educational institutions.
The ministry also noted that cadets are trained on a free basis and provided with everything necessary at the expense of the state, and employment is guaranteed for graduates.
