This law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, 2026.
The purpose of the agreement is to attract concessional loan funds from the Saudi Fund for Development in the amount of 187,500,000 Saudi riyals, which corresponds to 50 million US dollars.
The loan is provided for a period of 25 years with a 5-year grace period and an interest rate of 1.5% per annum. The funds will be allocated in US dollars.
The agreement includes financing for the project "Construction of Public Schools (Phase II)", which aims to update and expand educational infrastructure, eliminate the shortage of student places, and create conditions for quality general education.
As part of this project, the construction of five new general education schools and seven additional educational buildings in Bishkek, as well as two new schools in the Chui region, is planned. The total project capacity of the new educational institutions will range from 150 to 1,000 student places.
