189 competitors from 16 countries participated in the competition, including: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Egypt, Georgia, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Serbia, Syria, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Education, eight students from Kyrgyzstan participated in the Olympiad and returned with 7 medals and 1 participation certificate.
