In 2025, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision collected 973 million 350 thousand soms in fines for environmental pollution. This was reported by Asel Rayimkulova, the Deputy Minister, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
She emphasized that the revenue collection plan was significantly exceeded, reaching 199.8% of the planned level.
“The collected funds were directed to a special account of the ministry, which allowed for the improvement of the material and technical base. In cities such as Bishkek, Cholpon-Ata, and Talas, repair work was carried out in administrative buildings. Additionally, the construction of a rehabilitation center began at Issyk-Kul. Furthermore, 38 service vehicles, 4 motor boats, camera traps, drones, video recorders, professional binoculars, GPS navigators, and other necessary equipment were purchased,” she added.
