How many and what types of trees were planted in Kyrgyzstan in 2025

In 2025, as part of the "Green Legacy" program, 8,239,915 tree seedlings were planted in Kyrgyzstan, according to information from the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Among the planted species are poplar, elm, birch, oak, walnut, pistachio, almond, as well as apple, apricot, Tien Shan spruce, pine, and juniper (arche), in addition to mulberry and others.

The seedlings were planted over an area of 6,420 hectares, with a survival rate of 74.5%.

Currently, in the country, 3,820,663 seedlings have already been planted over an area of 3,250.648 hectares. Plans for 2026 include planting another 9 million seedlings, and current irrigation and protection works are being carried out on schedule.
