In Bishkek, on April 2, a two-day meeting of the Seventh Meeting of Heads of Ministries and Departments of SCO countries dealing with environmental protection issues began. This information was provided by the Ministry of Nature.
In his opening speech, First Deputy Minister Jenish Seydaliev noted that the meeting takes place during a special period, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The motto of the anniversary: "25 years: together for a sustainable world, development, and prosperity" reflects the common goals of the participating countries.
Seydaliev also emphasized that regular meetings within the framework of the SCO confirm the common interests of the organization’s members and their desire for open dialogue to develop coordinated solutions on important issues.
In particular, he noted that a healthy ecology and a comfortable environment are key factors for sustainable socio-economic development, which contributes to improving the health of the population and the overall level of well-being.
Experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and China arrived for the event in Kyrgyzstan. Representatives from the embassies of Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, and India are also present.
