In Kyrgyzstan, the production of bakery products has increased by more than 40 percent

From January to October 2025, there has been a growth in the production of bakery products in Kyrgyzstan by more than 40 percent.

According to statistics, the volume of production reached 12 billion 266.7 million soms, which significantly exceeds the figures for the same period last year, when it amounted to 8 billion 564.2 million soms.

Nazina Alykulova, head of the pricing sector of the antimonopoly policy and pricing department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, spoke about the measures being taken to control the rise in prices for socially significant goods.

She noted that the list of such goods was approved by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 8, 2023, and temporary state price regulation may be introduced for them in the domestic market.

This list includes 16 items, of which 11 are food products: flour, bread and bakery products, milk, vegetable and butter, meat, sugar, rice, pasta, eggs, and vegetables (including potatoes, carrots, and onions). Currently, state price regulation for meat is ongoing, for which maximum prices have been established.
