According to the Xinhua News Agency, citing the Ministry of Commerce of China, trade volume between China and Central Asia increased by 12 percent in 2025.

China's trade and economic cooperation with this regional group shows significant progress, as the trade turnover reached 106.3 billion dollars, which is 12 percent more than in 2024.

This is the first time in history that trade volume has exceeded 100 billion dollars, with positive dynamics observed for five consecutive years. Last year, China became the largest trading partner for Central Asian countries for the first time.

Exports from China grew by 11 percent, amounting to 71.2 billion dollars, driven by increased production in the fields of mechanical and electrical products, as well as high technologies.

Imports, on the other hand, increased by 14 percent, reaching 35.1 billion dollars. The success of trade is based on effective cross-border payment interactions.

The Ministry of Commerce of China plans to continue improving the trade structure, developing new business models, and facilitating the creation of necessary institutional mechanisms.
