From quantity to quality. Breeding livestock is actively developing in the Manas district

In the Talas region, in the Manas district, there is a constant increase in the number of farmers who choose breeding livestock as the main direction of their activities. According to information provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, there are currently 48 cooperatives engaged in the breeding of both meat and dairy cattle.

Recently, a new cooperative called "Nogoybay Ata" has been added to this number, which focuses on breeding Auliye-Kol breed cows. This breed is known for its resilience to cold conditions and high meat productivity: calves at the age of 10 months can weigh over 500 kilograms, and the weight of cows over two years old exceeds 1 ton.

In accordance with the "from quantity to quality" policy initiated by the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev, farmers receive comprehensive support from the state. Thus, last year, 8 new cooperatives were established in the Manas district.

Furthermore, in 2025, two local breeding farms successfully passed certification. One specializes in the Aberdeen-Angus meat breed, while the other focuses on the Holstein-Friesian dairy breed.

The development of breeding livestock, as emphasized, plays an important role in increasing the production of meat and milk, raising farmers' incomes, and strengthening the food security of the region.
