Energy Minister Talaybek Ibraev inspected the coal base of the Balykchy branch of OJSC "Kyrgyzkomur". During his visit, he received information about the operation of the Balykchy loading and unloading point (LUP) from the director of the base, A. Esenov.

According to Esenov, there are currently 26 thousand tons of lump coal at the LUP intended for the Bishkek CHPP, as well as 2 thousand tons of graded coal that will be sent to the coal bases of the capital.

The minister also familiarized himself with the functioning of the coal base's motor vehicle fleet. Currently, the fleet consists of 50 HOWO trucks. Additionally, 4 front loaders and 1 excavator operate around the clock at the LUP, ensuring uninterrupted reception, storage, accumulation, and shipment of coal.

According to the ministry's data, in 2025, 624,049.25 tons of coal were delivered from the "Kara-Keche" coal mine to the OJSC "Kyrgyzkomur" base in Balykchy. Of this volume, 130,090.8 tons were transported by the branch's motor trains, which accounts for 5,447 trips.

In January 2026, 77,419 tons of coal (1,214 cars) were sent to the Bishkek CHPP, which is almost in line with the planned figure of 80 thousand tons.

As a result of the visit, the minister instructed the management of the Balykchy coal base to ensure stable and timely coal supplies to the population, especially in conditions of decreasing temperatures, by organizing work in a normal mode and preventing fuel shortages.
