Ministry of Agriculture: Meat export is currently banned

At a recent meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dedicated to issues of agricultural policy and environmental protection, deputy Alisher Kozyuev raised the question of the current situation with meat exports from Kyrgyzstan.

In response to this question, Zhanibek Kerimaliev, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, confirmed that there is currently a ban on meat exports in the country.

Kozyuev also noted that, according to his information, meat exports are carried out by the company "Agroholding."

Kerimaliev clarified that according to the current decree, "Agroholding" is engaged in the export of meat from Kyrgyzstan.

“Previously, meat was exported to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan through the southern region, mainly in transit mode,” added the deputy minister.
