The Department of Agricultural Crop and Horticulture Expertise held a training seminar on tobacco cultivation for farmers and dehkan farms in the Nookat district of the Osh region.
According to information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry, participants in the seminar were provided with comprehensive information on tobacco cultivation technologies, the conditions necessary for new varieties, and their agronomic characteristics.
Among the participants were representatives of the agricultural sector as well as the farmers themselves.
Farmers were offered seeds of the "Virginia" and "Dubeck 44-07" tobacco varieties, along with recommendations for their cultivation and expected yield indicators.
The main objective of the seminar was to disseminate modern agronomic practices among local farmers and improve the quality and quantity of production through the introduction of new varieties.
At the end of the event, farmers were able to ask their questions and received practical advice on tobacco farming. Conducting such seminars will contribute to improving agronomic knowledge and developing the agricultural sector in the region.
