In Osh Region, 1 city and 5 rural administrations have ceased to be subsidized.

In the Osh region, in 2025, one city and 5 rural municipalities exited the subsidy program. This was announced at a meeting on the results of the socio-economic development of the region.

According to the presidential representative's office in the region, on February 17, a collegial meeting was held to summarize the socio-economic development of the Osh region for 2025 and to set priority tasks for 2026. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, the presidential representative in the Osh region Amanakan Kenjebayev, members of the collegium, deputy representatives, district akims, heads of regional institutions and enterprises, and heads of rural municipalities.

Regarding the agenda, the presidential representative in the Osh region Amanakan Kenjebayev delivered a report and provided information on the tasks set and plans for 2026.

According to the regional leader, currently, thanks to the efforts to improve the business environment and attract investments, 120 new enterprises were opened in the region in 2025, creating 1,474 targeted jobs. Overall, 17,453 jobs were created across all sectors. As a result, over 5 billion 938.5 million soms in investments were utilized in the industrial sector. Compared to the same period last year, 3 billion 392.9 million soms more investments were attracted. The volume of subsidies in the region decreased by 3.5% compared to last year. In 2025, one city and 5 rural municipalities exited the subsidy program:

- The city of Gulcha (Alaï district);

- Kok-Jar rural municipality (Nookat district);

- Dostuk rural municipality (Aravan district);

- Dön-Bulak rural municipality (Uzgen district);

- Karoool rural municipality;

- Salam-Alyk rural municipality (Uzgen district).

For road asphalting in 2025, a total of 8 billion 233 million soms was allocated from the Stabilization Fund and the regional budget, and 415.9 km of roads were repaired and asphalted. This is 188.4 km more than last year.

In the construction sector, in 2025, 2 billion 455 million soms were allocated from the republican budget, and 43 facilities were built, including: 11 schools, 12 kindergartens, 6 sports halls and playgrounds, 1 hospital, 11 capital repair facilities, and 2 clean water facilities.

The regional development fund received 250 million soms in 2025. Over the year, 102 projects were submitted to the fund, of which 42 projects were approved and financed.

In the agricultural sector, last year, agricultural products worth a total of 85 billion 843.3 million soms were produced in the Osh region, with a physical volume index of 103.4%. This accounts for 18.7% of the total agricultural production in Kyrgyzstan.

Positive work has been carried out in the development of unused lands: out of 810 hectares, the area has been reduced by 154 hectares. Currently, the total area of unused lands is 617 hectares.

After the completion of the report on the main results of the year, Amanakan Kenjebayev provided information on the tasks and plans for 2026 and gave a number of instructions to the district akims, heads of regional institutions and enterprises, and heads of rural municipalities.
