On February 21, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Meder Tumanov, held an on-site meeting in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region. The main purpose of the meeting was to observe the progress of the significant investment project "All-Season Ski Resort Cluster 'Ala-Tuu Resort'" and to assess the fulfillment of obligations.

The Ministry of Economy reminded that according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated October 6, 2025, No. 638, a decision was made to transform the state enterprise into the Open Joint Stock Company 'Ala-Tuu Resort', with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic becoming its shareholder.

The project "All-Season Ski Resort Cluster 'Ala-Tuu Resort'" covers the territories of the resorts Jyrgalan, Ak-Bulak, and Boz-Uchuk in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region. Its goal is to create a modern year-round tourist center of international level.

Key characteristics of the project:

* Area — 3,916 hectares;

* Length of ski slopes by 2038 — up to 250 km;

* Number of rooms — over 7,000;

* Potential attendance — up to 4 million tourists per year;

* Creation of more than 7,000 jobs;

* Expected investments — about 1.2 billion euros.

The project will be implemented in phases until 2038.

For the first phase of the project on the 'Jyrgalan' site, the government has designated the Austrian company Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH, a world leader in the design and construction of cable cars, as the main contractor for the design and construction of cable infrastructure.

The first phase of the auction for the sale of land plots in the tourist town of 'Jyrgalan' took place in July 2025, resulting in the sale of more than 14 properties. The second phase of the auction is scheduled for February 2026, during which more than 35 properties will be put up for auction.

The project includes the phased development of ski, hotel, commercial, and engineering infrastructure, including the construction of cable cars, slopes, and various accommodation facilities.

During the meeting, participants were informed about the current results of the project's implementation, as well as the results of engineering and geological surveys in the areas of the tourist towns and the facilities of the under-construction cable infrastructure, whose implementation is ahead of schedule. Reports from the executive body of the Company were heard, and issues regarding compliance with deadlines and the use of financial resources were discussed.

Meder Tumanov emphasized that the state ensures the construction of basic engineering infrastructure, including roads, electricity supply, water supply, sewage, and communication. Investor support has also been organized on the principle of a "single window" to ensure transparent interaction procedures.

"For us, as a shareholder, it is extremely important to ensure the transparency of the project's implementation, adherence to deadlines, effective use of investments, and timely resolution of issues. The 'Ala-Tuu Resort' project has strategic significance for the development of the tourism industry and the economy of the region," noted Meder Tumanov.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic will continue to coordinate and monitor the implementation of the project as a shareholder of the Company.
