President: Kyrgyzstan is a country of mountain tourism

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, speaking at the opening of the gondola lift in the Ala-Archa Nature Park on February 18, emphasized the importance of this event.

First, the president got acquainted with the operation of the cable car.

Speaking to those gathered, he noted that in recent years the park's infrastructure has been completely updated, creating modern conditions for tourists.

This is the first cable car in the country and it will be an important step towards improving the park's infrastructure.

The length of the cable car is 1 kilometer, and it will be able to transport up to a thousand passengers per hour to the top of the mountain, creating new opportunities for local residents and tourists.

The construction of the cable car was carried out by the Austrian company Doppelmayr, which is also involved in the construction of cable cars in the Ala-Tuu Resort ski complex in the Issyk-Kul region. This confirms the systematic development of mountain tourism in Kyrgyzstan.

“We intend to continue the development of the park, starting the second phase of the cable car extension, which will cover 12 kilometers and lead to the most picturesque places in the park,” the president added.

Currently, important work is being carried out in the park, including the construction of modern cottages.

There is also the construction of a modern toboggan run and plans for the opening of a five-star hotel with a swimming pool.

The president noted that the park's revenues have significantly increased: from 29 million soms in 2020 to more than 262 million soms in 2025, indicating a growth of almost 9 times.

He reminded that all institutions have been transitioned to digital technologies, and now all payments are made in electronic format, ensuring transparency and effective management.

“Our goal is to maximize the tourist potential of the country and present Kyrgyzstan as a country of mountain tourism!” the president declared.

He added that work on creating tourist infrastructure will continue in Ala-Archa, on Issyk-Kul, and in all regions of the country.

In conclusion, the president expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in the implementation of the project.

The head of state emphasized openness to domestic and foreign investments, creating conditions for entrepreneurs. Measures have been introduced to protect businesses from unjustified inspections.

The president also urged law enforcement agencies not to exert pressure on entrepreneurs who work for the benefit of the state. “If I see even a hint of pressure, I ask you not to take offense,” he added.

He expressed hope that entrepreneurs will conduct honest business, paying taxes on time.

Later, the president got acquainted with the hotel infrastructure created in the Ala-Archa Nature Park.
