This cable car is 1 kilometer long and was built by the Austrian company Doppelmayr as part of an investment project. It is capable of serving up to 1,000 passengers per hour. Japarov also noted that the same company is involved in the construction of cable cars at the Ala-Tuu Resort ski complex.
The president announced that a second phase of the cable car development is planned, which will start from the checkpoint and cover 12 kilometers, allowing access to the most picturesque and remote areas of the park.
“After the project is completed, both local residents and international tourists will be able to enjoy the magnificent landscapes of the Kyrgyz mountains and see the country from a new perspective,” the president emphasized.
Furthermore, Japarov noted that the opening of the cable car is just part of a larger infrastructure project in the park. In addition to this, modern cottages with necessary amenities are being built here.
“These recreational areas will provide tourists coming to our sunny country the opportunity to have a wonderful time in the mountains and by the rushing rivers. A modern toboggan run is also currently under construction, and a five-star hotel with a swimming pool is planned to open,” he added.
