According to information presented at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, there have been 240 insurance cases this year, with 37 million soms paid out. The data was provided by Baktygul Abdyjaliev, head of the State Insurance Organization.
He also reported that in 2025, 247 cases were registered with payouts amounting to 32 million soms.
“To date, 10 million soms have been paid for 37 cases. Insurance covers 27.5% of the housing stock, which amounts to 361,000 houses. There are 18 insurance companies operating in the country, of which 17 are private and one is state-owned. Insurance premiums remain low — 600 soms in the regions and 1200 soms in the cities, which leads to insufficient activity from companies in this sector,” he added.
