The IV People's Kurultai has begun in Bishkek, attended by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov. The first day of the forum took place on December 25.

About 700 delegates from all regions of the country, as well as invited representatives of compatriots abroad and religious organizations, attended the event.

The Kurultai started with a film presentation that highlighted the key indicators of Kyrgyzstan's socio-economic development over the past years.

After that, the president made a number of important statements regarding current issues and priorities for societal development.

Among the key topics he addressed were the elevation of the status of teachers and doctors, social protection of the population, increasing salaries for workers in education, healthcare, culture, and sports, as well as combating violence against women and children. The president emphasized that such phenomena are unacceptable and that societal values need to change.

Sadyr Japarov also highlighted priorities in regional development, business support, housing program implementation, and attracting investments, stressing the importance of sustainable economic growth and strengthening the country's financial stability.

Several new industrial and social facilities were also inaugurated online across the country. At the same time, many enterprises were launched, including logistics and manufacturing capacities, as well as kindergartens, schools, and medical institutions.

The construction of a road in the Batken region has also been completed, providing access for residents of the remote village of Zardaly, which is an important step for regional infrastructure development.

During the Kurultai, issues related to sustainable regional development and improving the population's living standards were also discussed.

Delegates noted the need for the repair and construction of roads, water supply facilities, social institutions, and affordable housing in the regions. Solutions were also proposed for issues related to pasture lands and the return of illegally privatized plots to state ownership.

Additionally, participants discussed high prices for medicines, the development of small hydropower plants, stimulating the tourism sector, strengthening family values, and youth upbringing, emphasizing the importance of interaction between government bodies and the population.
