About 700 delegates from various corners of the country have gathered for the event, including 51 representatives from the Issyk-Kul region, who will discuss 48 key issues.
The distribution of delegates by districts is as follows:
- Ak-Suu District — 8 delegates,
- Jeti-Oguz District — 10 delegates,
- Issyk-Kul District — 10 delegates,
- Ton District — 7 delegates,
- Tyup District — 9 delegates,
- City of Karakol — 4 delegates,
- City of Balykchy — 3 delegates.
Before the start of the kurultai, the delegates held discussions with local authorities, identifying pressing issues and determining priority questions that they intend to present to government bodies during the People's Kurultai.
Among the main topics raised by delegates from the Issyk-Kul region are the socio-economic development of the region, protection of Lake Issyk-Kul, development of the tourism sector, environmental protection in the region, wastewater management, construction of small hydropower plants, addressing irrigation issues, and rational use of pastures.
The first People's Kurultai took place in November 2022, the second in December 2023, and the third in December 2024.
