In the Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region, projects aimed at providing clean drinking and irrigation water for the villages of Ak-Sai and Tort-Kul are actively being implemented. This initiative was announced by delegates from the Bolot Mambetov rural council at the III People's Kurultai, which took place in 2024. The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic provided this information.

As part of this project, 7 kilometers of water pipeline will be laid in Ak-Sai, which will supply residents with clean drinking water. In Tort-Kul, major repairs of the existing water supply systems are being carried out. Both projects are included in the list of priorities.

In addition, the construction of the Chokmor-Ata reservoir with a capacity of 1.4 million cubic meters is underway in the Ak-Sai valley. Upon its completion, water supply for the irrigation of 1,854 hectares of agricultural land will significantly improve, and an additional 150 hectares will be developed. This, in turn, will lead to increased yields and incomes for the local population.

A complete reconstruction of the BSR in the village of Toguz-Bulak is also planned, which will provide water supply for 500 households.

It is important to note that for 2025, the Ministry has approved an action plan consisting of 410 items, developed based on the appeals of the delegates of the III People's Kurultai. Of this number, 50 activities (12%) have already been completed, while 360 (88%) are in the process of implementation; there are no unfulfilled activities.

The majority of appeals concern irrigation issues (60%) and providing the population with drinking water (23%). These areas are strategically important and are currently being implemented.
