In the Tort-Kul rural district of the Moscow region in Chui Province, a large-scale modernization of the water supply system has begun, affecting four villages: Petrovka, Kyzyl-Tuu, Predtechanka, and An-Aryk. This initiative is driven by the high degree of wear and tear of the existing water supply networks, which negatively impacts the quality of drinking water for local residents.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, 14,521 people live in the specified settlements, and the total length of the water supply communications is approximately 105,400 meters. The water supply issue was discussed by the delegates of the III People's Kurultai, which took place in 2024.
The list of settlements that will receive funding for the complete replacement of the drinking water supply system includes Petrovka, Kyzyl-Tuu, Predtechanka, and An-Aryk. The work is planned to begin in 2025, with phased funding from the republican budget.
The Ministry has developed an action plan for 2025 consisting of 410 items, based on the appeals of the delegates of the III People's Kurultai. Of these, 50 activities (12%) have already been completed, while 360 (88%) are in the process of implementation. No unfulfilled activities have been recorded.
The agency noted that the largest number of appeals concerns irrigation (60%) and providing the population with drinking water (23%). Both areas, according to them, are in the active implementation stage.
