
The allocated funds to address the problem amounted to 1.8 million soms
Clean drinking water is now available in the village of Ak-Suu, located in the Leilek district of the Batken region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the ministry, the issue of the lack of drinking water was raised by delegates at the III People's Kurultai held in 2024. As part of addressing this issue, 1.8 million soms were allocated from the budget of the Ak-Suu rural administration, which were used to lay water pipes over a distance of 1200 meters.
As of today, the residents of the village are provided with quality drinking water.
The ministry also noted that a plan of activities consisting of 410 items was approved for 2025, developed based on the appeals of the delegates of the III People's Kurultai. Of this number, 50 activities (12%) have already been completed, 360 (88%) are in progress, and all planned activities are under control.
The most frequently mentioned issues in the appeals are related to irrigation (60%) and access to drinking water (23%). These key areas are currently being implemented, the ministry emphasizes.
