Ratified agreement on additional millions of euros from the EBRD for water supply in villages

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, signed the Law "On the Ratification of Additional Agreement No. 1 to the Loan Agreement dated May 23, 2019, with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, concerning the project 'Rehabilitation of Water Supply Systems in the Local Self-Government Bodies of Myrza-Ake, Don-Bulak, and Kurshab.' The grant related to investments from the Special Shareholders Fund of the EBRD, signed on April 14, 2025, in Bishkek, has also been ratified," reports the press service of the president's office.

It should be noted that this law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on September 25 of this year. Its main task is to complete internal procedures for the entry into force of the specified agreements.

Additional funds amounting to 2.25 million euros for the implementation of the project "Rehabilitation of Water Supply Systems in the Local Self-Government Bodies of Myrza-Ake, Don-Bulak, and Kurshab" have been provided by the EBRD:

The EBRD loan is issued for 15 years, including a three-year grace period, with an interest rate of 1.0% + Euribor (at a floating rate).
