The Cabinet of Ministers held talks with EBRD Vice President Matteo Patrone.
During the discussion organized by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the parties touched upon the most important aspects of bilateral cooperation, as well as the prospects for implementing key projects in areas such as energy, infrastructure, and support for private business.
Kasymsaliev noted that the EBRD has established itself as a reliable partner for Kyrgyzstan, actively contributing to the socio-economic progress of the country. He also highlighted that the republic's economy is demonstrating steady growth: in the first nine months of the current year, GDP increased by 10%. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers set an ambitious goal — to increase the GDP volume to 30 billion US dollars by 2030.
Among the key areas outlined in the National Development Program until 2030, Kasymsaliev pointed to large-scale industrialization, the creation of a regional hub, support for agriculture, tourism development, and a focus on green energy. Among the most significant infrastructure projects mentioned were the construction of the strategic railway China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan, as well as the implementation of the Kambaratinskaya HPP-1 project and other major initiatives.
Matteo Patrone expressed high appreciation for the dynamic economic development of Kyrgyzstan and emphasized the importance of the achieved results. He confirmed the EBRD’s readiness to continue strengthening the partnership and expressed interest in cooperation on the priority areas outlined by the Prime Minister.
