The work on replacing pipes at the "Zhel-Tiybes" pumping station in the Aksy district of the Jalal-Abad region is in full swing. These pipes, which have a service life of 49 years, have never been repaired or renewed.
The initiative to update the pipes was announced by delegates at the III People's Kurultai, which took place in 2024. Currently, earthworks are underway at the site, and the total length of pipes to be replaced is 2800 meters. It is expected that all work will be completed by February 2026, with a total project cost of 288 million soms. Upon completion of the work, an improvement in the supply of irrigation water over an area of 3000 hectares is anticipated.
It is worth noting that for 2025, the Ministry approved an action plan consisting of 410 items, developed based on the appeals of delegates from the III People's Kurultai. Of these, 50 activities (12%) have been completed, while 360 (88%) are in the implementation stage, with no activities left unfulfilled.
The main appeals concern irrigation issues (60%) and providing the population with drinking water (23%). These priority areas are currently being implemented.
