On December 18, the head of state met with Emperor Naruhito. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening friendly ties, developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as expanding mutual understanding and trust between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
On December 20, Sadyr Japarov participated in the first summit of the "Central Asia – Japan" Dialogue. In his speech, he noted that the summit reflects a common desire to elevate the partnership between the countries of Central Asia and Japan to a qualitatively new level. The President confirmed Kyrgyzstan's support for Japan's proposal to focus joint efforts on three key areas: sustainability and resilience, development of communications, and human resources.
On the same day, Sadyr Japarov held talks with Sanae Takaichi. The parties discussed deepening bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, increasing mutual trade and investments, developing cooperation in sustainable and green energy, training and upgrading qualifications of personnel, as well as expanding interaction in the field of sports and tourism.
As a result of the bilateral meeting, a number of documents were signed aimed at further developing and deepening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
