The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, held important negotiations today, November 5, with the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, during his official visit to Cairo. The meeting discussed key aspects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Egypt, including the development of political dialogue, economic ties, investments, and other mutually beneficial issues.
Both leaders noted the positive dynamics in bilateral relations and expressed their desire to give them a new impetus. President el-Sisi warmly welcomed his Kyrgyz counterpart, emphasizing the importance of friendly relations with Kyrgyzstan for Egypt. He expressed readiness to deepen political interaction and cooperation in various fields.
The President of Egypt also noted that Japarov's visit is a significant step in strengthening the partnership between the countries and will create a solid foundation for the implementation of joint initiatives. In response, Sadyr Japarov pointed out that this is the first visit of a Kyrgyz president to the African continent since gaining independence.
Japarov highly appreciated Egypt's constructive role in the Middle East and Africa, adding that a decision has been made to open the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Cairo to strengthen friendship between the countries. Additionally, the parties plan to sign a number of agreements that will promote the expansion of cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and scientific-technical spheres, as well as establish an intergovernmental commission, the first meeting of which is proposed to be held in Bishkek.
el-Sisi supported the initiative of the Kyrgyz president. Japarov also emphasized the active cooperation of the two countries in international organizations such as the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
During the meeting, the President of Kyrgyzstan invited Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to visit the country on an official visit, as well as to participate in the SCO summit planned in Bishkek in the fall of 2026, and in the VI World Nomad Games, as well as in events dedicated to the Independence Day of Kyrgyzstan.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, both sides confirmed the existence of significant potential for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Egypt.
