According to Ambassador Siroko Messerli, relations between Switzerland and the Kyrgyz Republic have been successfully developing for over three decades.
The diplomat noted: "Our countries have established strong and productive ties. I recently had a detailed conversation with President Sadyr Japarov, during which we discussed the importance of our partnership aimed at supporting economic growth, as well as issues related to water and energy resources. Trade and economic relations also play a significant role, and the volume of trade between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland is constantly increasing."
The ambassador recalled his first visit to Kyrgyzstan in 2000 and his return in 2015: "Returning after 15 years, it was hard to recognize the country. During this time, significant changes have occurred: infrastructure has improved, and cleanliness and landscaping have increased."
It is worth noting that on October 13, President Sadyr Japarov met with the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Kyrgyzstan, Siroko Messerli, to present him with his credentials and congratulate him on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in the country.
