
In Busan, South Korea, a meeting is taking place between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, reports China Central Television.
“I am confident that our meeting will be successful. <…> He is a true master of negotiations. <…> We have developed excellent relations,” Trump noted, as reported by Bloomberg.
When asked about the possibility of reaching an agreement, the president replied: “Maybe.”
The leaders plan to discuss bilateral relations between China and the United States, as well as issues of mutual interest, according to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was previously reported that Xi Jinping arrived in South Korea to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.
