
During the meeting, Trump and Sanaa emphasized that the new agreement would strengthen the economic security of both countries and contribute to economic growth, which, in turn, would lead to global prosperity.
The leaders instructed their ministers and secretaries to develop additional steps for the implementation of this "new golden age" of the US-Japan alliance.
An agreement was also signed concerning the supply of key minerals and rare earth metals, focusing on the extraction and processing of resources.
It is worth noting that at the end of July, Japan and the United States reached an agreement on trade issues related to tariffs. Under this agreement, Japan plans to invest $550 billion in the American economy, as well as open its market to goods from the US and set tariffs on American goods at 15%. Otherwise, Tokyo could face retaliatory tariffs of 25% from Washington.
